Durian stench removal tactics

Just out of curiousity, I wanted to clarify this: I'm not sure if this is the public method or not, but my family, after having a hearty feast of durians, wash our hands using..check this out..a durian shell used as a filter where the water will flow through that particular shell(insides of course) and be transferred to our hands. Amazingly, this works in removing the strong durian smell. I'm curious. How? But before that, do you do that as well? Or you have some other 'tactic'? Haha, the silly things Chinese ppl do. =P. Hmm, I better add some sort of msgboard here. Need some interaction.
